ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR-- ROTTERDAM Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeing an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work for one of our clients, Kuwait Petroleum Europoort BV, in the Netherlands. The responsibilities include the management and control of contractor’s costs in accordance with the Kuwait Petroleum’s contracts, working across all the refinery departments – maintenance, engineering, operations, turnarounds.  Other duties include:

• Ensure man-hours and related costs are recorded and coded correctly and that timesheet submissions are made as required by the agreed or signed contract and hence support correct cash flow.
• Maintain and or record cost variation history sheets for every contract.
• Review continuously the current costs of all operation activities against budget.
• Daily entry of all work requisition in the system and ensure correct authorisation signature for reimbursable costs.
• Carry out additional tasks as may be required from time to time by the Business Services or line Manager.
• Liaise with Business Service Managers like purchasing, planning etc. with regard to the requested rate(s) against the contract/actual rates and other associated data/information.
• Conduct field or site checks to match the claimed unit or measurement according to the contract terms.
• Some work estimation and weekly/monthly cost reporting.
